How is this different from Hyperloop?  They have local pods and stations planned as well as the high-speed tube.

Hyperloop is moving large vehicles (multi-ton) at extremely high speeds (600 mph) in a tube and it would compete with airplanes.  Transit X would displace cars, buses, trains, trucks, and short flights.  It solves the last-mile problem of public transit and can serve low-density areas above existing rights-of-way.  Transit X is profitable and doesn't require public funding or subsidies. The two are as similar as cars and planes.
